Elena has over six years’ experience in the real estate industry including commercial property, residential development and regeneration. Elena obtained a bachelor degree in Economics and International Relations from the University of Reading, where she consecutively completed a postgraduate RICS-accredited degree in Real Estate.
Elena’s career started at a niche commercial property practice based in Central London, where she provided professional advice to landowners, developers and occupiers in relation to their commercial property acquisition and disposal strategies. Elena’s ambition has always been to work in development and she was pleased to join BBP Regeneration as a Consultant in 2014. Since then she has been working on an array of different projects for major housing-led and employment-led schemes across the UK, expanding her commercial property experience and developing her understanding and knowledge of the residential development market.
Having lived in the ‘south’ for the majority of her life (i.e. South East Europe), Elena now deems herself a to be a North Londoner, living in the heart of ‘hipsterland’, even though she doesn’t grow a beard, doesn’t own a fixed-gear bike and is not a vegan. Elena has a wide ranging interest in issues which affect the regeneration of our communities. She has a particular interest in workspaces which cater for start ups and early stage growth businesses. She has enjoyed working on projects such as the Innovation Warehouse business plan for a makerspace in Basildon and the enterprise hub model for South Kilburn, which was supported by a successful grant funding bid from the GLA.
